First time & FAQ

FIRST TIMERS

How early should I arrive?

Classes start on time. We recommend arriving 15 minutes early to get settled in and to ensure you don't feel rushed. It's essential to allow time so we can get your bike set up correctly and find shoes that fit well. A staff member will be on hand to assist you and make sure you are ready for a fun and safe class.

What should I wear to class?

We recommend breathable and moisture-wicking clothes. Form-fitting leggings or shorts are best (so they don't interfere with pedals). You're going to get sweaty!

Should I bring anything?

We recommend you bring a water bottle and a small towel to stay fresh and dry

Do I need special shoes for a cycling class?

Yes! Shoes with SPD-cleats create a safer and more connected ride. You may bring your own shoes or use a pair of ours. Use of cycling shoes is included in your class registration.

Should I eat before?

Yes! We recommend an easy-to-digest snack 45-60 minutes before your workout.

  • Banana or an apple with peanut butter
  • Slice of whole-grain toast + avocado
  • Crackers and veggies with hummus

It's also crucial to fuel your body after class! Be sure to eat a healthy meal and drink plenty of water.

What if I can't keep up?

Go at your own pace – you have complete control over your resistance. The idea is to challenge yourself, but that does not mean you must keep up with the coach's moves and resistance or the person next to you. It's important to be in tune with your body! Don't forget to smile and enjoy your hard work.
